Lebanon's Minister Warns of Israeli Violations and Hezbollah's Role in Southern Destruction

The Lebanese Minister of Displaced Persons, Kamal Shahada, has raised concerns regarding Israel's ongoing violations of Lebanese sovereignty, stating that Israel has not taken steps to adhere to the ceasefire agreement, with little real influence from the international community on its actions.
In exclusive remarks, Shahada emphasized that the Lebanese government is working to assert state authority in a genuine manner, not merely on paper, highlighting the necessity for Israel to respect national sovereignty.
Domestically, the minister attributed the destruction in southern Lebanon to Hezbollah, while asserting that Lebanon does not seek escalation or harbor hostile intentions towards any party, and aims to avoid providing Israel with any justification for intervention.
* Commitment to Reconstruction and Stability
Shahada reiterated the Lebanese government's commitment to rebuilding the south and recovering occupied lands, stating that the forthcoming phase will involve significant efforts to restore the country and enhance stability.
He also expressed hope that the upcoming meeting of countries supporting the Lebanese army, scheduled for next month, will help strengthen the state's capabilities and reinforce its sovereignty across its territory.
