Khamenei Urges Trump to Focus on Domestic Issues Amid Rising Protests in Iran

In a recent escalation of tensions between Iran and the United States, Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei urged U.S. President Donald Trump to focus on domestic issues in the United States. Khamenei reassured the Iranian people that maintaining national unity is essential for overcoming their adversaries.
In a fiery speech, Khamenei stated that Iran would not compromise its principles and would not yield to "agents working for foreign interests," labeling the "rioters" as those seeking to appease Trump.
This statement followed Trump's announcement that the U.S. could deliver a "strong blow" to Iranian leadership if deemed necessary. In an interview with "Fox News," Trump indicated Washington's readiness to support peaceful protesters in Iran.
Meanwhile, Iran's Supreme National Security Council Secretary Ali Larijani warned that any U.S. intervention in Iran's internal affairs would destabilize the Middle East and jeopardize American interests in the region.
Locally, Iranian state television reported on the ongoing nighttime protests, confirming casualties resulting from violence attributed to "terrorist agents" linked to the U.S. and Israel, who allegedly set fires and damaged public property, including subways, fire trucks, and buses.
Despite internet disruptions and international phone service interruptions, protesters took to the streets in Tehran and other cities, chanting slogans against the government, while images of debris and flames circulated on social media.
Additionally, Iranian President Masoud Bezhakian called for moderation in handling the protests, stressing the importance of dialogue and addressing the public's demands to avoid violence.
