Israel Accuses Iran of Rearming Houthi Rebels and Hezbollah

As Iranian officials continue to assert that they successfully repelled Israeli attacks last June and claim victory in a 12-day conflict, an Israeli security official has indicated that Tehran is actively working to restore its military capabilities following that confrontation.
In an interview with an Israeli broadcaster on Sunday, the official stated that Iran is "racing against the clock to rearm" due to fears of a new Israeli operation on its territory. He noted that Iran is simultaneously supplying weapons to Houthi forces in Yemen and Hezbollah in Lebanon.
The official also mentioned that Iran has recently escalated its arms smuggling operations into areas of the West Bank, a move aimed at facilitating potential operations within Israel.
Furthermore, he confirmed that Iran is focused on rebuilding the military capabilities of the Houthis and is supplying arms to various groups in Syria in anticipation of a possible new conflict with Israel.
Regarding Lebanon, the security source clarified that Iran is aware Israel may be compelled to take action after December 31 of this year, the deadline for disarming Hezbollah, which heightens concerns among Israeli security agencies.
In late June, Israel launched a surprise attack within Iranian territory targeting military sites and nuclear facilities, along with assassination operations that affected numerous Iranian military leaders and nuclear scientists, marking a significant breach of security and intelligence within Iran.
Since that attack, Iranian officials claim that they have rebuilt their military capabilities, asserting that they are now "stronger and more effective" than before the Israeli assault.
