Iran: Eight Security Personnel Killed and Nearly 100 Arrested Amid Armed Clashes

State television announced the death of a first lieutenant following an armed attack at police station number 11 in Rudbar, Guilan province. Officer Mohammad Bour Ibrahim was shot with a hunting rifle on Friday night and succumbed to his injuries the following morning.
In Razavi Khorasan province, seven security agents were killed while performing their duties in Mashhad, according to the director general of the Martyrs and Sacrifice Affairs Foundation of the province.
In this context, the mayor of Baharistan district, south of Tehran, reported the arrest of nearly 100 individuals who participated in the unrest, noting that the detainees used both firearms and bladed weapons in their attempts to disrupt public order.
Various cities in Iran are experiencing ongoing security tensions, while the Chief Commander of the Iranian Army, General Amir Hatami, emphasized in a statement on Saturday the commitment of armed forces to their surveillance and defense roles. The statement characterized the recent protests as "a conspiracy supported by foreign entities aimed at disrupting public order and threatening the country's security."
