Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra: S Pen Adopts Simpler Design

Recent leaks suggest that the upcoming Galaxy S26 Ultra from Samsung may introduce a design change that could disappoint enthusiasts of the series. The smart stylus, S Pen, will reportedly forgo its usual vibrant colors that matched the phone, opting instead for a more formal and simplified appearance.
According to leaked images, the S Pen will now feature color only on its clickable tip, which will match the phone's frame, while the body of the pen will be available in black or white, depending on user preference. This marks a departure from the previous Ultra models, where the stylus was fully color-coordinated with the device.
While these four colors align with earlier leaks regarding the phone's color options, this change could be perceived as a downgrade in user experience, especially given the anticipated high price of the Ultra model at launch.
Some analysts speculate that this decision may be driven by cost-cutting measures, although this rationale may seem unjustifiable to some.
This change follows a series of reductions in S Pen features; last year, Samsung removed S Pen support from the Galaxy Z Fold 7, after previously launching the S Pen for the Galaxy S25 Ultra without its usual Bluetooth-enabled features.
Although the removal of vibrant colors may appear to be a minor adjustment, it signifies the loss of a distinctive feature that users have appreciated in the Ultra models for years.
