Astronomers Investigate Unusual Object Near the Sun

A peculiar object resembling a large bird has gained attention on social media, with estimates suggesting it is ten times the size of Earth, prompting inquiries regarding its nature and origin.

The unusual object was detected using a solar telescope.

Experts from the Solar Astronomy Laboratory at the Space Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences reported that the object was observed a few days ago with the LASCO telescope, initially proposing that it could be a significant galactic entity.

Scientific interpretation of the phenomenon

Russian astronomer Alexander Kiselev posits that the most plausible explanation is that the object is a comet passing near the sun. The intense heat from the sun causes volatile materials such as water and carbon dioxide to evaporate, creating a bright tail that may resemble bird wings in the images captured.

Other potential explanations

Kiselev also noted that the observed phenomenon could be a plasma formation in the solar corona, an optical illusion due to the angles of photography, or even a technical issue with the observation equipment, indicating that the event may be natural rather than extraordinary.
