The Egyptian actor Tarek Al-Amir died on Wednesday after experiencing a rapid decline in his health. He was hospitalized in Cairo following a prolonged battle with illness.

The funeral service will be held in the capital.

According to a close source, Al-Amir's health crisis stemmed from heart artery failure, a condition he was unaware he had. The source noted that he had recently experienced severe pain and lost consciousness, prompting his urgent transfer to the hospital. Medical tests revealed that his heart had stopped, and despite attempts to revive him, he ultimately passed away.

* Final Health Condition Details

Al-Amir was admitted to the hospital after his health deteriorated and he fell into a coma due to a severe bacterial infection affecting his lungs, which caused mucus buildup and breathing difficulties.

His sister, Lamiya Al-Amir, reported that doctors had to delay a planned tracheotomy aimed at improving his respiratory function because of the seriousness and instability of his condition.

Lamiya mentioned that there were some positive signs regarding his kidney function, which had stabilized somewhat before his death. However, his heart muscle ceased functioning just hours before he passed away, and resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful.

* A Distinguished Artistic Career

Tarek Al-Amir, born in Cairo in 1965, began his acting career in the 1990s, taking on numerous supporting roles that resonated with audiences.

His notable works include:

• "Elly Balak Balak" (2003) as Officer Hani, alongside Mohamed Saad.

• "Asal Aswad" (2010) as Abdel Moneim, featuring Ahmed Helmy.

• "Awkal" as Massad.

• "Sana Fi Masr" (2014) as a police officer.

• He also contributed as a writer for films such as "Katkot", "Matb Sinaa'i", and "Al-Hob Keda".

* About His Sister Lamiya Al-Amir

Lamiya Al-Amir, born in 1957, is an Egyptian actress who began her career in the early 1980s. She has made significant contributions to theater, cinema, and television, leaving a lasting impact through her diverse roles, even if she was not always in the spotlight.

The death of Tarek Al-Amir marks a significant loss for the Egyptian arts community, as he leaves behind a rich legacy in cinema and television that will be cherished by his fans.
