Syrian Minister of Tourism Mazen Al-Salehany confirmed today, Saturday, that the participation of an official delegation from the ministry in the World Tourism Day events held in Malaysia represents an important step in restoring Syria's position on the international tourism map, alongside the member countries of the World Tourism Organization.

Al-Salehany explained that the aim of the participation is to highlight the tourism components that Syria possesses and to showcase its return to the international arena as a tourist destination rich in civilization and cultural diversity.

He pointed out that the event provides an opportunity to learn about the experiences of other countries in developing the tourism sector and to become acquainted with the latest global services and practices, which enhances Syria's ability to advance this vital sector.

The minister also invited tourists from all over the world to visit Syria and learn about its historical heritage, emphasizing that the projects proposed in the country hold great potential and promising investment opportunities.

He concluded by saying: "Syria is moving forward with confidence and opens its doors warmly to its lovers and visitors from all over the world."
