Former employees at the Caribbean residences of Spanish singer Julio Iglesias have leveled serious accusations against him, including sexual harassment, rape, and both physical and verbal abuse, during their employment from 2021 until recently.
One former employee alleged that Iglesias, who is 77 years old, coerced her into sexual relationships, claiming she endured both physical and verbal humiliation, including slaps, while working at his properties in the Dominican Republic and the Bahamas.
An investigative report conducted over three years compiled testimonies from 15 former employees, along with supporting documents, correspondence, recorded calls, and medical records, which corroborate claims of harsh working conditions and stringent surveillance at Iglesias' residences.
Attempts to contact Iglesias and his legal team for comment went unanswered. One manager of the employees dismissed the allegations as "fabrications."
Julio Iglesias, the father of singer Enrique Iglesias, is recognized as one of the most successful Spanish-speaking artists globally, having released over 80 albums and sold more than 300 million records.
