Sherif Salama and Dalia Mustafa Announce Their Divorce After 21 Years

After over two decades of marriage, Egyptian actor Sherif Salama has confirmed his separation from fellow artist Dalia Mustafa. The couple, who were married for 21 years, share two children.
A source close to Salama disclosed that the divorce follows more than a year of ongoing disputes, despite efforts from friends to help reconcile their relationship.
The divorce proceedings took place at their family home, attended by Salama, the officiant, and Mustafa's father. The couple reached an agreement on various aspects of their lives, particularly concerning their children's needs as they are at different educational stages.
According to the source, Dalia Mustafa was visibly emotional after the divorce was finalized, with her father and brother attempting to comfort her. She requested that their children be away during the proceedings, asking them to stay with a relative until all matters were settled, given that the divorce occurred in their shared home.
Salama and Mustafa first met while she was a student at the Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts, leading to their marriage in 2004. They welcomed their daughter Salma, followed by their son Selim two years later.
Notably, significant disagreements arose about a year ago, prompting Salama to leave the marital home before the official separation was announced.
This divorce marks the end of a long relationship, with both parents committed to ensuring their children's psychological and educational well-being moving forward.
