Saudi Arabia Issues Warning to UAE Over Military Movements Near Border

The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed serious concern over the United Arab Emirates' actions, which it claims are pressuring the Southern Transitional Council forces to initiate military operations along the Kingdom's southern border in the Hadramaut and Al-Mahra provinces. Saudi Arabia views these developments as a direct threat to its national security and to the stability of Yemen and the broader region.
Riyadh characterized the UAE's actions as significant and inconsistent with the principles of the coalition supporting legitimacy in Yemen, stating that they undermine efforts to achieve security and stability in the country.
In this context, Saudi Arabia has called on the UAE to comply with a request from the Republic of Yemen to withdraw its forces within 24 hours and to halt any military or financial support to factions within Yemen. The Kingdom has made it clear that any violation of its national security will be treated as a red line, and it will take all necessary measures to address such threats.
This statement from the Saudi Foreign Ministry follows remarks from the Yemeni Presidential Leadership Council and the Arab Coalition concerning the unauthorized movement of ships carrying weapons and heavy vehicles from Fujairah to Mukalla, reinforcing Saudi Arabia's commitment to Yemen's security and sovereignty, as well as its support for the Yemeni leadership.
Saudi Arabia reiterated that the Southern issue is a legitimate cause with historical and social implications, asserting that it should be resolved through dialogue among all Yemeni factions, including the Southern Transitional Council.
The Ministry concluded by stressing the need for wisdom, brotherhood, and good neighborliness among Gulf Cooperation Council states, urging the UAE to take necessary steps to preserve bilateral relations and enhance collaborative efforts for regional stability and prosperity.
