Russian Defense Minister Andrei Belousov announced on Wednesday that the country's armed forces will receive over 310,000 military vehicles and approximately 21 million weapons this year. This initiative is part of a broader armament strategy aimed at bolstering military capabilities in light of the ongoing conflict with Ukraine.

During a meeting to review the armament plans for the new year, Belousov noted that January alone saw the delivery of more than 10,000 military vehicles and around two million pieces of ammunition, including bombs and missiles. This surge in supplies indicates Russia's intensified efforts to enhance its military readiness.

The minister confirmed that contracts are being finalized with national military industry organizations to ensure a steady supply of military equipment through 2027. He emphasized the commitment of the Defense Ministry and relevant authorities to maintain regular production and delivery of necessary weaponry and military gear.

This announcement comes as the Russian-Ukrainian war continues, now in its fourth year, while diplomatic efforts by the United States to mediate between Kyiv and Moscow have yet to yield a resolution to the conflict.
