King Mohammed VI of Morocco Takes Rest Period Due to Back Pain

The Moroccan News Agency reported that King Mohammed VI is currently dealing with lower back pain and muscle spasms. However, his health status is stable and does not raise any alarms, according to a statement from his personal physician on Saturday.
The agency noted that the king's condition necessitates appropriate medical treatment and a prescribed rest period to facilitate recovery and restore normal activities.
King Mohammed VI has a history of successful surgeries, including heart procedures in 2020 and 2018, as well as a surgery in late 2024 for a humerus fracture sustained during exercise.
Since ascending to the throne in July 1999 following the death of his father, King Hassan II, King Mohammed VI has continued to govern Morocco while managing his health and overseeing the kingdom's affairs, despite facing various health challenges.
