During her appearance at the International Film Festival in Marrakech, American actress and director Jodie Foster remarked on the limited visibility of Arab cinema in the United States, noting its clear absence from the American film landscape compared to other global cinematic traditions.

Foster further observed that Iranian cinema has established a strong foothold at major international festivals, enhancing its accessibility to Western audiences. In contrast, she stressed that Arab cinema requires more opportunities to present its narratives and connect with viewers outside the region.
