Iran Claims Advancements in Missile Technology Amid Israeli Concerns

Amid rising tensions, General Abu Fazl Shakarji, spokesperson for the Iranian armed forces, stated that Tehran's missile, drone, and defensive capabilities have "taken the initiative from the enemy." This announcement was made during a visit by cultural officials to the "Aerospace" exhibition organized by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard.
Shakarji, who also serves as the Assistant for Cultural Affairs and Soft War, emphasized that all showcased equipment is locally manufactured, resulting from the efforts of Iranian scientists and the Ministry of Defense, according to the state-run news agency Fars.
He further noted that the armed forces have "rapidly enhanced their missile capabilities," claiming that Iranian forces have improved their readiness for potential confrontations with Israel.
In response, Israeli media reported concerns regarding Iran's swift recovery of military strength. An Israeli army representative informed the Knesset's Foreign Affairs and Security Committee that Iran has resumed ballistic missile production "at a high pace," following a brief conflict between the two nations in June 2025.
During that conflict, Israel conducted airstrikes targeting missile storage and production facilities in Iran, as well as nuclear sites, and eliminated several military leaders and nuclear scientists. The Israeli government has reiterated its commitment to preventing Tehran from restoring its military and nuclear capabilities, with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu asserting that the confrontation remains unresolved.
Western diplomats and international observers have expressed concerns about the likelihood of renewed military conflict between Israel and Iran, given the escalating rhetoric and military advancements from both sides.
