Fadl Shaker Appears in Beirut Court for Attempted Murder Case

In his testimony, Shaker asserted that he has no ties to the case, explaining that the lawsuit was previously dismissed following a financial agreement with Hilal Hamoud. He claimed the allegations were part of an effort to extort him financially and to damage his reputation due to his political views.

Shaker's attorney, Amata Mubarak, submitted an official document to the court confirming the lawsuit's dismissal, which she argued bolstered Shaker's legal standing. The session included a confrontation between Shaker and Ahmad al-Assir, with both men denying any financial or arms connections.

Following the session, the court postponed proceedings until February 6, 2026, to allow for Hilal Hamoud's direct testimony.
