The Egyptian Mineral Resources and Mining Industries Authority announced on Friday that it has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Spanish firm Excalibur to carry out a geophysical aerial survey project designed to enhance the national database of mineral resources.
According to the authority, the initiative will utilize aircraft and satellites to perform an extensive survey across all governorates of Egypt, facilitating the development of a modern and detailed geological and mining map of the country's resources.
The survey will be organized into six primary research areas, which will improve the precision of mineral and natural resource identification, thereby attracting further investments in the mining sector.
The authority emphasized that this initiative is part of the government's strategy to bolster the mining sector as a key contributor to future economic growth.
