South African Footballer Fakhri Lakai Involved in Traffic Incident in Cairo

A traffic accident occurred in the Fifth Settlement area of Cairo involving Fakhri Lakai, a South African striker for Ceramica Cleopatra, the current leaders of the Egyptian Premier League. The incident took place when Lakai's vehicle struck a woman who was crossing the street, resulting in multiple fractures and other injuries.
Emergency services responded to reports of the collision, and upon arrival, they found that Lakai had not anticipated the woman's sudden appearance, which prevented him from stopping his vehicle in time.
Lakai stated that the collision was unintentional and that he had attempted to avoid hitting her. Following the accident, he promptly transported the injured woman to a nearby hospital for medical attention.
Medical sources confirmed that the woman suffered from fractures, lacerations, and bruises. Both parties reached a reconciliation after completing necessary legal procedures, leading to the closure of the investigation.
After the incident, Lakai returned to training with his team and attended a match between Ceramica Cleopatra and Enppi in the fourth round of the Egyptian Capital Cup to support his teammates.
Lakai is recognized as a key player in the Egyptian league, having recently joined Ceramica Cleopatra on loan from Pyramids FC, and continues to perform well this season.
