U.S. Report Highlights Haftar's Fuel Supply to Sudan's Rapid Support Forces with UAE Support

A report released on Thursday by the American organization "The Sentry" indicates that forces under General Khalifa Haftar in eastern Libya are supplying fuel to Sudan's Rapid Support Forces. This arrangement reflects a reciprocal relationship that has been sustained by Emirati support since 2014.

The findings suggest that these fuel supplies underscore Haftar's strong allegiance to the UAE government, which is identified in the report as a "decisive party" backing his military and political initiatives in Libya.

Reportedly, the fuel provided to Sudan is utilized in the tactical operations of the Rapid Support Forces, particularly in Darfur, a region that has experienced violent clashes following the fall of El Fasher.

The Sentry has not yet received any official comments from the UAE or the Rapid Support Forces regarding these claims, raising international concerns about the nature of regional interventions in the Sudanese conflict and Haftar's involvement in exacerbating cross-border tensions.

This report is part of a broader investigation by "The Sentry" into smuggling networks and illicit financing in conflict zones, emphasizing the interconnectedness of military and political interests in both Libya and Sudan.
