Aleppo Governor Reports Defections from SDF Amid Security Preparations for Civilian Return

Aleppo Governor Azzam Al-Ghareeb reported on Thursday that several members of the Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF) have defected from their roles in the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods, with additional individuals fleeing the area. These changes may indicate a potential shift in the local power structure in the near future.

Al-Ghareeb also mentioned that internal security forces are making arrangements to deploy within these neighborhoods to ensure safety and create conditions conducive for displaced residents to return to their homes following a period of heightened tensions and clashes.
